Types of Classes Available

My name is Misty McAnally and I am an American who has been living in Marchin for more than two years. I speak French at an intermediate level. I am a certified teacher of English as a Foreign Language and Business English.

Here is a summary of the classes and services that I offer.           

1. Private Lessons

I offer one-on-one lessons customized to your needs. I will determine your current level and after a brief survey about your needs and motivations I can create a program that is custom made for you.

The lesson schedule is entirely up to you. Do you want a meeting once a month? Once a week? Maybe twice a week to really improve your level?

Lessons are generally one hour long and cost 30€ per hour.

2. Small Group

These are very similar to the Private Lessons, but group classes can be even more interactive than Private Lessons as we can use a greater variety of language games and role-play to liven up the class.

I teach groups of up to 6 people as I find that more than 6 makes it difficult to give everybody the attention they deserve.

Such classes work best if all members of the group have approximately the same level. I will test your levels and determine your needs and motivations so as to create a class program that will leave all students fully satisfied. My rate is 50€ per hour, divided equally among the students.

3. Conversation Group

This is a bit more casual than the Small Group classes. As with my other offerings, I will test your needs and levels. Often, conversation groups will meet at a café or at one of the class members’ houses for drinks or tea. My home is also available, of course.

The goal of conversation groups is to get more comfortable with the language in a casual setting so that you can confidently speak English at work or while travelling.

My rate for Conversation Group classes is 30€ per hour divided among the participants and class size is limited to 6.

All students of formula 2 or 3 classes may, if they wish to improve their skills, enjoy their first hour of private lessons free of charge.
